The most prestigious basketball and volleyball inter-city tournament returned to Canada after a five-year hiatus. This year's event was hosted by The City of Ajax, who had been a regular member since 2017. Legions of basketball and volleyball players, families, and supporters from all over North America participated in this big event. Check out the highlights of the event in this video. 🏀On February 1, 1967 the American Basketball Association was born! The ABA, which fielded 11 teams in its first season, lasted until the 1975-76 season, when it merged with the NBA. The ABA distinguished itself from its older counterpart with a more wide-open, flashy style of offensive play, as well as differences in rules, the use of a 3-point field goal and a 30 second shot clock.
